A new range of adapted bikes for more inclusive mobility

Last January, Véligo Location took an important step forward by launching a new range of adapted bikes designed for people who cannot use a standard bicycle for health-related reasons.
Making cycling accessible to everyone
Giving everyone the opportunity to ride freely, with or without assistance, is the core ambition behind this new range of adapted bikes.
The range includes 8 electric-assist models and 4 mechanical models, all designed to be ergonomic, stable, and safe. Among them, you’ll find a low‑seat bike, tricycles, tandems, and even a wheelchair cargo trike.
With this new offer, Véligo Location reinforces its commitment to making active mobility accessible and tailored to everyone’s abilities. Rental periods last 3, 6, or 9 months, at a price of €44 per month (excluding reduced rates). This price includes:
- a second rider option for all tandems and the wheelchair cargo trike
- coverage of any necessary bike adaptations
- home delivery of the bike
Personalized support for every rider
Beyond bike rental, Véligo Location offers a complete support pathway. Each rental begins with a phone call with an occupational therapist to identify needs and select the most suitable models to test.
After this first exchange, a mobility assessment is carried out at a « Maison du Vélo », allowing users to try the bike, test the equipment, and make all necessary adjustments to ensure comfort, safety, and autonomy.
This support continues throughout the rental period: the occupational therapist remains available to adjust the bike, answer questions, and ensure the experience is fully satisfying.
And after Véligo Location?
If your Véligo Location experience convinces you, you can choose to purchase your own adapted bike at the end of your rental.
Several financial helps are available in Île‑de‑France, including:
- Île‑de‑France Mobilités subsidy (up to €1,200)
- City of Paris subsidy (€1,500)
- Support from the MDPH
- AGEFIPH and FIPHFP employer support
- Contributions from certain mutual insurance companies and the national health insurance
